The Big Plan Vs The Real - India Trip Series

I like travelling, the main thing about travel is planning the travel itself. I wrote about the things to do before making itenerary.

Just a while ago, in Feb 2020 I travelled to India by myself. India is a big country with lots of regions and cultures, so I decided to visit the Golden Triangle Cities first, before explore to other cities. The cities that I visited were, New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

I researched the places and things I could do in those 3 cities. I collected information from many sources, also watched You Tube Channel and read some blogs.

I asked my friends all about India. First from Lis, who also Female Solo Traveller, she visited India in August 2019. I really curious about India, so I invited her to have coffee, so I could interview her! Hahaha…

And the other, I got info and tips from @user_not_found Michael and his wife, this couple visited India in October 2019.

One other source, I got, was from @AmbrishVarshney , I contacted him through @ReshamDas . Turn out, he is the influencer and senior LGs from New Delhi. He gave me tips to ride Hoho Bus, and arranged meet ups for me, so I could meet other Delhi Local Guides.

Here my itenerary, I arranged mostly in Global Plan.

12 Feb Depart from Jakarta, Arrive at Delhi 22.00
13 Feb go to Agra, Explore Agra
14 Feb Explore Agra in the morning, go to Jaipur at Noon.
15 Feb Explore Jaipur
16 Feb Explore Jaipur
17 Feb Go to New Delhi, Arrive at 10.30
18 Feb Explore New Delhi
19 Feb Explore New Delhi, Go to Jakarta at 22.00
20 Feb Arrive Jakarta at 9AM

But when go in details, then I go Crazy!
Luckyly I have 3 months to prepare, so I prepare almost detail!

  1. Plane Ticket
  2. Visa
  3. Contact India LGs
  4. Itenerary
  5. Book Hotels
  6. Transportation between cities, I choose Trains
  7. Tickets for Tourist Destination
  8. Internet Access
  9. Adapters for Mobile chargers
  10. Snacks

So many huh?
If I write everything details in this article, It would be like writing a book.

=thats a Great Idea… better start write now. Hahahaha

The thing is, Plans always seems so bright.
some of the plans was ruin due my conditions and miscalculation of the time. Oh No.

Those failed were :
Itenerary and Internet Access. Uh. Yupe, I failed to follow my own itenerary during travelling inside the city.

For Instance, this is my itenerary for Jaipur

First Day

  1. Jantar Mantar
  2. City Palace
  3. Hawa Mahal
  4. Jal mahal aka Water Palace
  5. Amber fort
  6. Stepwell aka Panna Meena Ka Kund,
  7. Gatore
  8. Jaigarh fort
  9. Nahargarh fort

And you know? On the first day, I just could visit these place with @rajuroyal

  1. City palace
  2. Hawa mahal
  3. Gatore
  4. Nahargarh fort

That was one cities, All the 3 cities, my itenereray was messed up. Hahahaha…

I was lacked to manage my own time at one place, I was not just a tourist, I put myself as Local Guides and Content Creator. So, my time in one place was too long.

One place that I remember too long was Red Fort in Delhi, that place was too big to explore in one day, then I took lots of photos, cause inside so many good places for photos. Then there were museums inside the fort, as I remember 5 museums, and I just went to 2 museums,

I didn’t know what should I do with the museums, so interesting history of India military, but I had schedule to go, then other concern I had already paid for Museum Entrance, which was very expensive.

Then I choose to leave Red Fort and went to next destination.

That day in New Delhi, I was alone, travelled by myself, I even did not have lunch, just ate biscuit that @SANITAK2021 gave, Chocolate and Dates. Although I really satisfied to see my footage and photos from that day, I missed lots of good places to go.

Again, I don’t know, whether I should cry or happy! Hahahaha…

I should write about my experience in Series! So You will be insipired or laugh?

So, my conclutions are,
1. Do researched and prepare your journey, as detailed possible
2. What do you want to do in that place? Enjoy or Work? You can do both, but with consequences! You can not repeat the time!
3. Always prepare Food and Drinks inside your bag, Hahaha…

follow me in IG, most footage and photos already posted, but the stories behind the photos have not spoken yet.

I think you should laugh and be happy @Ddimitra . In India the people live by “grace”, someone said, so plans are not so necessary, hahaha.

Personally I love India because of that, as well.

Best wishes!

Hahaha nice share mom…

Tipsnya berguna banget terutama manajemen waktu, karena biasanya itu yang paling sering meleset. Bagusnya selalu spare 2-4 jam waktu lebih biar kalo ada tempat ternyata menarik bisa colong alokasi dari situ haha

Pengalaman disaat touring-touring motor

Hello @Ddimitra and to all other LGs

It was really a great time being with you the whole day, enjoying having fun visiting different places and much more other stuff we did the whole day, I am missing that day a lot.

And thanks for giving me chocolate and a Jakarta LG badge, I am loving that badge.

Unfortunately a day after tomorrow I met with a bike accident.

Otherwise, I was willing to join you at the airport, still, those memories are unforgettable

Thanks for your precious time @Ddimitra
