I admit it, I am addicted to Matcha green tea!
Matcha tea may taste strange the first time you try it as it is kind of intense. But believe me, you’ll end up loving it, I got totally addicted.
There is a small and café place in Barcelona called ‘Usagui Café’, which is my favorite place to go in the city. There you can find the most delightful Japanese desserts. They use to offer many types of cakes (even some vegan ones), different mochis and melonpan, amongst other delicious desserts. You can also have lunch or dinner there, as they offer a menu with traditional dishes, such as a huge variety of teas.
I always take a matcha latte (hot during Winter, cold in Summer) and any kind of matcha cake. All of them are excellent, so you can never pick a wrong one!
Every time I eat at Usagui I feel like traveling back to Japan, it’s not only the food that is so authentic but also the decoration and the friendly staff.
I just have to thank Usagui Café team for bringing a piece of Japan to Barcelona!
