What the local guide program means to me.
Hello colleagues, My name is David Llopart, I am from the Dominican Republic.
I remember starting as a local guide when I posted positive comments and photos of the company I work for, and since the day I saw how those photos and comments were used by many people as of help in their queries; I felt the need to help users and companies in the search for businesses and clients, according to the case.
Through the program, I not only help people to choose the ideal places to walk, eat, and / or have fun; I also contribute directly to those small businesses that need to be known to people. Through my contributions I feel that I can help them reach a greater flow of customers in their commercial establishments. I have realized that a good photo can arouse people’s desire and curiosity.
Being a local guide has helped me to have more criteria when it comes to having fun or eating, because each place I visit becomes an opportunity to use my comments and highlight the positive and negative qualities of the establishments, which will be further used by so many other people.
I’m particularly a hamburger-lover person (I literally love them), although I also enjoy the other varieties of fast food. This is why most of my posts are about fast food … hehehe.
I cannot deny that this program makes me feel helpful, when I observe that my publications and photos help users to choose with better criteria the places to visit, as they consider my opinions. It makes me feel very good; and motivates me even more when my photos reach many people. In this way, I feel a greater commitment to contribute and improve the quality of my photos.
The impact it generates in small businesses has also moved me to help them be known on google maps, giving them the opportunity to be seen and recognized by users. In this way, I contribute to making the economy more dynamic, and prone to growth, considering that the Dominican economy is sustained by the progress of small businesses.
