Sharing is the most beautiful and scariest experience I’ve ever done.
I really love to take picture around the world to show every hide thing that I have found in that place.
But Sharing is not just an “happy thing” because you have to be real in every quote, words or pic; sharing things that come from your deep soul sometimes it hurts 'cuz you think that people understands what you say but the final answer is… sorry, it’s crap!
I found that beautiful bike in Amsterdam last summer and the light, the position and the message next to the bike was so evocative, so I decided to shoot that moment. I wanted show how my eyes and brains worked in front of that kind of situation, I was so proud of the result.
But in the end the answers were: i don’t like the color… why is so green…you have to erase people from the photos…
I was so sad, and I thought that I’m not good enough…
Now I understand just a little thing: it doesn’t matter what people say to your work. You decide your style that comes from deep inside, because it’s the only thing that make the difference. My style is mine and the most bravest thing is to show to the world, sharing your emotions.
@Violet_Violence_bv I love the picture and I love what you wrote. It is hard to share as it puts you out there and gives people the chance to critique. But for most of us there is no other way and sharing is part of us. Keep going!
WOW, EXCEPTIONAL!!! At the right place at the right time. Greatly captured indeed. Congrats @Violet_Violence_bv . I love the photo and message from this post.
Thank you for this post, @Violet_Violence_bv , sorry for reaching it so late.
When we share a photo, we always share much more than a simple combination of pixel. We share a story, and a feeling. This is not always “easy”, mostly if a beautiful photo, like yours, is telling much more than a piece of street with people walking under a light rain, while the most dynamic of the elements (the bike) is static. You don’t need to show to the others that “you are good enough”. I know that an “easy” photo will be normally more appreciate, but I wonder if this is what we want.
