The Beautiful Sounds of Africa

I am a software developer by day and a DJ by night. If there is anything the Nigerians love to do after a long day at work is to get a cool spot to listen to music, and dine (for as long as the good music session lasts). Helping people find the right spot is my passion.

About 20 years ago if you get into local clubs or hangout spots in Nigeria you are bound to hear 20 foreign songs before hearing 1 local song. Back when we were yet to accept music as a way of life; the era when a child can be disowned by parents for attempting to venture into music. But a lot has changed since then, right now when the spirits are high and the modes are “lit” you will definitely hear 20 local songs and afterwards a foreign song gets played in clubs and hangout spots. The sounds of Africa has eventually caught up with everyone, both locally and internationally, and it is considered “Beautiful”.

Hence, it is my duty to guide my people, and visitors alike, on how cool the spot I am is, either I’m there to play (work) for the audience, or to simply relax. I like to get people informed of cool spots to hangout, and by the term cool for me it’s means where there is Good Music. in Nigeria, good music is what keeps the people glued to their seat to talk more, spend more fun time together, and dine more at any club or hangout spot. I always try to listen to the music playing at a bar, a club, or any chill lounge, and mostly will update the location based on that. The moment I approve a location as a “cool spot to chill and hangout”, my people knows the music is definitely great and they can always go there to have a good time. Amidst what an average Nigeria is faced with in the hands of the powers that be, Music is one of the healing balm that has been keeping us sane and happy at all time, and its my duty to guide people to experience the “eargasm” made in Africa

I’m DJ Bit Bender, the sound finder, the fun maker… It’s nothing personal, strictly music my dear!
