The beautification process(Street Art) of Kolkata...

The Strand Road is a major thoroughfare in Kolkata running along the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, which connects Baghbazar to Princep Ghat via the Howrah Bridge. On account of our hon’ble Prime Minister’s visit (which was cancelled in the 11th hour on account of sudden demise of his mother) to Kolkata on 30th December, the process of beautification was initiated on both the sides of the Strand Road. The damaged walls guarding the Circular railway were repaired and coloured to give a proper look. However, the process of renovation remained stagnant until now where the walls are decorated with amazing paintings depicting various monuments, vehicles and traditions of Kolkata. I was mesmerized by these beautiful art.

Here are few snaps which I took while going to office which is situated beside Strand road.
