A while ago I wrote an article about how bad Sonoma County was hit by the floods this winter. I live in Sebastopol, CA which is a rural happening small town between Santa Rosa and Bodega Bay, we have a fairly new trendy shopping and market area called “The Barlow” and it was really hit hard and flooded many of the new and flourishing businesses that have taken up shop there.
It’s been several months and a few of the businesses could not recover from losing everything to the flood, but many have been resurrected and are back better than ever and open for business.
It’s been really amazing having this market area open in downtown Sebastopol, it’s brought in so much new tourism and shoppers from outside the area and has made our little town that more sophisticated and eclectic.
The Barlow is a Bay Area outdoor/indoor market in Sebastopol, California featuring local food, wine, beer, spirits and crafts made onsite by Sonoma County artisans. Our West County Area in recent years has become quite the mecca for the newer Sonoma County wine scene and The Barlow has become quite the hub for shopping, wine tasting and dining, it was much missed while it was being rebuilt.
Everyone is so glad to have it back and open for business, so I thought I would feature a few of the businesses in “The Barlow” here to support and celebrate them for all their hard work
