A BaraKhamba monument is called so because of the 12 pillars it stands on.
This forms 3 arches on the 4 sides.
There is a beautiful garden all around with sprawling lawns and nice walkways.
The BaraKhamba monument on Lodi Road in Delhi was recently renovated and is in excellent condition.
Here’s the view of the ceiling from the inside.
Many nearby residents were seen resting here during the afternoon when I visited here last year.
The entrance is accessible and leveled with the sidewalk or footpath and there is no entrance ticket.
Hope you like the tiny little place in the heart of Nizamuddin suburb of Delhi.
This post is inspired by the Gems of the World challenge by the amazing @KashifMisidia .
