The Backbencher Gastropub is an historic pub directly over the road from the New Zealand Parliament Buildings. It is often visited by New Zealand Politicians.

One of the main attractions inside are the puppets, mainly of Politicians, but there are also some of Sportsman.

This looks really interesting, thank you for sharing it with us. I’ve seen the link that you posted leading to the other photos and it reminded me a lot the puppets of a French TV show called les Guignols. :slight_smile:

Yes @BorrisS the puppets do look similar to Les Guignols. The puppets at Backbenchers are made by Weta Workshop in Wellington.
