The authentic Balinese Spices Sate in Bumbu Bali, I have savored it

When I was in Bali, local people lead me to one famed authentic and with fresh ingredients Balinese restaurant, Bumbu Bali, to taste all kinds of Sate. Bumbu, they said it means the genuine Balinese Spices. Bumbu Bali owned by one foreigner married local Balinese wife, he used to be the executive chef of one 5-star hotel in Bali.

It was a new experience for me to watch the kitchen people wearing traditional Indonesian clothes roasting the Sate, and surprisingly, the foreign owner Heinz Von Holzen also had been in the scene to direct the cooking, that was another a little happiness for me.

I barely remembered the flavor of the food, but the beautifully colored food and yellow, purple and white rices had drawn very vivid impression in my brain.

I don’t know if the cooks and the service people are still working there, but I had captured their figures in that very moment.

Hi @porkgoldzhuzhu I love your post about Bali! I am Indonesian but I didn’t try this one yet! I will give you additional information about “Bumbu”. Bumbu is Indonesian word for “flavor”, “seasoning”. Here, we called a food by “bumbu Bali” if we used the spicy ingredients like what you said. I love your post! Thanks for sharing :slightly_smiling_face:
