Whenever I travel to a new city, my favorite hobby is identify a restaurant to savior the taste of the best chefs in the area. I do this with the help of reviews on Google maps, Yelp, booking.com and instagram. More often than not, restaurants now make short YouTube videos which could be helpful for those of us who are particularly concerned about good hygiene practices in the kitchen.
I was was able to identify a sushi place on Bree street in Cape Town as well as an underground bar in the heart of Mayfair, London. Google maps also has a robust photo, video and geotag resources to help reviewers provide up to date information on diners around and these are very useful to residents and tourists alike.
