Teesta ri****ver is one of the main rivers in the beautiful Sikkim state. This river originates from the melting of glaciers (Zemu Glacier) from the great Himalayas (Eastern Himalayas). Teesta flows through Sikkim, West Bengal, Bangladesh and finally drains in the Bay of Bengal. The flow of Teesta is very rapid and turbulent during the monsoon rains. During the peak monsoon season, this beautiful river is turned as risky and dangerous because of muddy surroundings, full of rocks (As told by the locals and tourist guides).
