I’ve always seen myself as a city person, you know, compared with those who are in love with nature. Even my interests are mostly indoor activities, like going to cinemas, museums, bookstores, music concerts, etc… Oh, street art would be the exception in this, since it’s rather outdoor ;). Back to our track, I love metropolis and am living in one, but at the same time, it makes me appreciate the beauty of nature more. So when I knew I’m visiting California, I immediately decided to visit national parks, and the one here in this article is Yosemite National Park.
Some people may already know this place, some people may not. But I’m sure many of you have seen this photo. Looks familiar to you? Yes, it’s one of the default desktop wallpapers Apple provides for Mac OS users, the breathtaking El Capitan, the most famous rock in Yosemite. It’s also featured in the Oscar-winning documentary, Free Solo, as an impossible rock to be free-sololy conquered.
And where to take the best shots of this spot? Tunnel View would be the place. If you google “Yosemite National Park” on Google Images, you’d find most pictures are taken from this place, with the valley, the rocks, the trees, and of course, the stunning view.
The day I went was a cloudless sunny day in autumn (late November), so everything was rather in darker green, yellow, orange, or brown, and is all covered with a golden filter. Yosemite is just so beautiful, and I’d wish to come back one day in other seasons.
Have you been to Yosemite or any other national parks? Do you like it?
