The Aalsmeer Flower Festival!

Hello LGs,

Netherlands (NL) is known for the beautiful Tulips that bloom in spring.

After the Tulip season ends by May & summer sets in, the Roses start blooming in NL

In mid-June the town of Aalsmeer welcomes flower-fans to showcase roses at various locations.

Unlike Keukenhof, this festival is to boost the local Flower Business.

When i visited Aalsmeer, this festival was spread across 5 different locations - Some of these were nurseries & others were flower arrangement teaching institutes.

Place : Aalsmeer Flower Festival - spread across 4 to 5 locations.

Ticket : When i visited, Bus tickets with ring route were available that take you to all locations of the festival. Entry at all locations was free.

One can easily spend a day visiting all locations.

Note : If you are in Aalsmeer also visit Flora Holland - a large market for exporting Flowers.

Thank you for tagging me @Onkar_Pandhare ! Wonderful post and photos. I love flowers and it is too bad I did not get the chance to visit the festival. Roses are one of my favorites. Thanks to your post, I got a small peek. :slightly_smiling_face:

My favorite is the second photo. I love how they combined two shades of pink. It is so gentle to the eye. Do you know if they sell seeds? If they do, I would love to visit one day and purchase some for my own garden.

Thanks!! @Ekattotii Yes! They sell seeds. They also sell saplings planted in pots & bouquets.
