Today is the 71st National Day of Sri Lanka. 4th of February 1948 Sri Lanka became an independent country , separating from the ruling taken by the British.Today all the sri lankans celebrate their anniversary of freedom hoisting National flags in households, workplaces, vehicles, and even on their social media profiles.

Sri Lanka celebrated independence day on the 4th of February. The biggest celebration was held in Colombo. Sri Lanka was a British colony till 1948 and we celebrated 71 years of independence this year in 2019. The Sri Lanka Army, Navy, and Air Force contributions are the biggest attraction. Pictures show some aircraft displayed by the Air Force on this day.
