That's go on firefly admiration!

It’s the good season to seeing the firefly in April - May in Taiwan, there are more than 2000 kind firefly in the world.
I had a photography trip at Shuisheliao Station, which is one station of the Alishan Forest Railway and at an altitude of 1186 meters, it’s a simple and quiet mini village. you can see the firefly, go hiking or observe the ecology of the bats from this station.

I took some photos of firefly here. There are no train after 3pm, we can take this photo on the railway safety.

Here’s an abandoned elementary school, it’s ecological restoration for firefly now, you can find mostly firefly here.

We also can bring own doll and take some photo with firefly.

@OmiK , thank you for sharing your interesting information and photos. Did you use flash and what mode did you set in your camera? I think sport mode or speed 1/500 - 1/200 (depends on speed of fireflies) will help you get better fireflies.

@Thai_Ngh Thanks for your reply, I don’t use flash because it would scare the fireflies’ courtship. I took these photo by long exposure (120~180 sec, f/2, iso2500).
