I would like to say that being part of the Local Guides Program has been a unique experience that I honestly did not imagine experiencing when I decided to be part.
I think being a guide in a certain way involves that while you enriches yourself in the experiences you have when you are going to know a new place you become a motivation for others who, thanks to your testimony, also want to go and explore that place.
In addition, from the other perspective, I think seeing the reviews of more people like you (whether they are travelers or not) is like having lived that experience before. And even with that, when you dare to live it on your own you realize that it was even better than you read, that you didn’t make the wrong decision after following the guides suggestions who shared his experience with thousands of people.
I simply believe that this program has been significant in my life, because I think that in my hands I have the power to guide thousands of people that even without going to faraway, I can be the one who invite them to live better experiences than mine. Also, to show them that even if they live in the same place like me, can go to places they may not know, just as it happened to me and how I decided that I wanted that same feeling that I experienced, could be felt by all those people who read my recommendations.
However, I would like to say that it is very important for me to read in my email that my reviews and photos have helped more than one person I realize that we have the opportunity to contribute to the lives and plans of others from our mobile phone.
Finally, be part of a community which every member around the world contributes to generate and strengthen a great map of unique experiences is what being part of the local guides program means to me. I feel lucky to be able to share my experiences and I feel grateful to all those who like me do the same.
