Put your hand up if you love traveling! Here on Connect, Local Guides share their most memorable travel adventures. We get to learn about places far and wide and collect ideas for our personal bucket lists for when it’s time to venture out again.
This week, we want to give thanks to Local Guides who create helpful travel guides on Connect and Google Maps. Do you like to create such guides, too?
** @FaridTDF , Level 10**
Farid is a Local Guide for several reasons. One of them is to promote places that exist in the world through his posts and contributions. “I like to think that I’m an ambassador for the places I visit,” he says.
In 2020, he started an enchanting series called “Recorriendo Tierra del Fuego,” or Touring Tierra del Fuego. Tierra del Fuego is a province in Argentina that Farid often describes as “a place at the end of the world.” So far, he has shared over ten hiking destinations, including waterfalls, lagoons, lakes, and more! His posts include details about the trails, and his photos alone are enough to make any adventurer dream of visiting them.
On Google Maps, Farid has curated lists of more places to tour in Argentina, like Patagonia and Ushuaia, but even if you have only four days in Buenos Aires, he’s got you covered.
** @Stphn , Level 9**
Stephen stole our hearts with his complete guides to cities and regions in Europe and Asia. Whether he spends three days, two weeks, or several years in a place, he makes sure to put together the most helpful information for others to enjoy their stay to the fullest.
His posts on Connect often come hand-in-hand with lists he’s created on Google Maps. Stephen’s guide to amazing photo spots in Malta is complete with a list of bars and restaurants to refresh at while touring the island. And while his guide to Istanbul gives great tips on how to get around the city and the main things to see and eat, his list includes more hidden gems to explore.
If hiking around Madeira or enjoying the best of Antwerp are on your bucket list, then don’t miss Stephen’s guides and lists.
