Thank you @AngieYC for awarding me 50th “Accessibility champion”. I know numbers aren’t valuable but I have to give my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the 49 local guides who got this. You guys have been inspirational and give valuable information on how to contribute to Accessibility. That’s why I am doing a post like this. Connect taught me more things on how to contribute better and how to guide. I still remember the first time I joined the connect and made my first post. I thank all my fellow local guides who was with me fromthe start. Also gratitude from my side to Kerala Local Guides!
I hope you guys know about my posts about national and international day related to awareness, food and other various fields. There is something important every day which can be related to Google Maps or Connect and I will try to do my best to give you guys that information. I really wanted sincere feedback (you can either comment or give a reply as a private message). I thank all local guides who read the “celebrate…with me” post. Please tell me which post made you useful in your contributions to the maps!
You are doing a great job with the celebration series @Rahul001
I am glad I was able to participate in most of them, if not every.
But I thoroughly enjoyed each of them.
The day celebrations previously earned a bad reputation and some people were caustic about it. Their concerns were not misplaced though.
By coupling celebration days with Google Maps you have found the perfect way to both enjoy and continue to support the community in so many ways.
I can understand Tushar but I give important to each day, leaving one behind would be great unworthyness. I also mistakenly leaved so many good day which is more connected to Google Maps and connect! I can sense a caustic response that why my previous few post and future posts will be all neutral (not tagging anyone) unless they have posted important content related to that day previously.
What includes in my Celebration post:
Explain the day to the community.
How Google maps or connect related to it.
More importantly, what other local guides have posted important contents previously. (To show their work!)
Truly Tushar, what you said is correct but I can’t keep the information onto myself for some “caustic” responses right. I can guarantee you next celebration posts are educational and LGBTQ+ related!
