Now a days noticing trends of many recently opened, genuine flourishing places showng as temporarily closed. As local guide fully aware of such new places mostly opened by me.But to my surprise most of them were shown temporarily closed.May be some miscreants doing it for getting points or time pass or fraud or unhealthy competition. Even though for edting to wrong temporarily closed many check list, controls and AI measures were there , still doubting misuse.One eg given below. Strict measures are advised…

Your example is not super convincing. I tried to do the usual pre-verification and check.
There is no phone number or website added to the listing.
Only one rating and one review that easily could be fake.
On Streetview, I can not see any signage confirming the existence of the business.
If the business is real, the first step would be to suggest to the owners that they claim the listing. That will give them some protection from random people closing the listening.
Please share more examples if you believe this is a systematic problem.

Thanks for immediate response. Even though i could not super convince i think i can convince since i had photos with opened shop showing that it is genuine…Similar cases for Bank Of Baroda & ATM were not in the Map even though places added and photos showing opened. If the owners were not interested it will be waste of time for opening such genuine places by Local Guides. There are many such cases, once added places disappearing. For your information ICICI Bank and ATM which existed in the same place replaced by Bank Of Baroda and ATM. Could not close ICICI Bank & ATM although not existed. Tried and edit showing not applied. As Local Guide it seemed to be waste of time.

Yes, banks and ATMs are untouchable in most areas. It is not even worth trying to edit them.

Temporary closed means that the place is closed for a short period of time, @jojo522 .
Originally the option for closing the business temporarily (e.g. for vacation) was available only to the business owners of claimed businesses, and it was extended to the Local Guides during the pandemic, for updating the status of the business that were forced to close. Do you have any evidence that the business was not closed for a few days only? In any case reopening then is normally easy.
Regarding your second example, I agree with @MortenCopenhagen about the difficult to edit some protected business like Banks and ATMs. However, by checking your link, I’ve got the following message

Thanks @ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen for prompt explanation. I understand the business was closed temporarily and now reopened. It is quite clear as from the photos that business are open both cases referred to. But the owners were not often diligent when reopening or claiming business to start. Here come the relevance of Local Guide. As explained supported by photos and newly added many places in addition to Banks or ATM were disappearing from
the Map for reasons such as business not claimed or no phone numbers or web address etc. Hence all efforts of LG were in vain often frustration and affecting incentives for further contributions. Thanks & Regards!

Nope, @Amiran , my number is still frozen at 746 from March 2023.
The bug on fact checking was reported at the end of July 2022. in February 2023 my number of checked facts increased a bit just using the kind of check mentioned in this post.
But this time, even if the procedure is the same, non points were attributed.
Looks like there is a lot of work for the team to separate Answers and Fact Checking again

@ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen Related to temporarily closed issues recently come across three business in a row permanantly closed as seen from the photos and link since new business added and hence no scope for re opening or temporarily. In fact all are permanantly closed and hence can add new business. So clarification and option given to business claim are not clear.

I checked the 3 links, and all three are only temporarily closed.
Both temporarily and permanently closed places can be reopened. Only places that have been removed so they are no longer to be found in the database via text search can not be reopened
From your post, I think you may believe that there is only room for one business per address. This is not the case. The number is not limited.
