Can you tell us more about this monument and how to get there? Does it cost to get inside or it’s free? Are there tours organized and what’s the history behind it?

@DanniS Wikipedia: The Valle dei Templi (Valley of the Temples) is an archaeological site in Agrigento (ancient Greek Akragas), Sicily. It is one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, and is one of the main attractions of Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy. The area was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1997. The Archaeological and Landscape Park of the Valley of the Temples is the largest archaeological site in the world with 1,300 hectares.

@DanniS Non penso sia corretto che io descriva la Valle dei Templi di Agrigento. E’ uno dei luoghi più importanti della Magna Grecia, patrimonio UNESCO e conosciuto in tutto il mondo. Se si vuole vedere bellissimi templi greci due sono i posti: la Grecia e la Magna Grecia (nel sud Italia dalla Campania alla Sicilia). I luoghi più famosi della Magna Grecia sono Paestum, Selinunte, Segesta, Siracusa (Ortigia) e la Valle dei Templi (Agrigento).
In questo caso io trovo molto bella l’accostamento: scultura di un artista contemporaneo polacco (Mitoraj) molto famoso anche in Italia perché aveva anche uno studio a Pietrasanta e il tempio della Concordia, il più famoso della Valle dei Templi.
