Traditional Oil Mining
Bojonegoro is one of the Regency in East Java that has natural wealth in the form of petroleum. One of the unique and interesting things is the presence of tourist destinations in the form of traditional oil mines.
The place of this traditional oil mine is Teksas Wonocolo. The location is in Kedewan Subdistrict, Bojonegoro, East Java.
To get to this place from the city center of Bojonegoro takes approximately 1 hour by car. Along the way we will pass rice fields, village villages and teak forests. Approaching tourist sites the road is a bit damaged so it must be rather careful.
Arriving at the location we will smell the distinctive smell of oil and gas. Here we can see the activities of oil miners by using simple tools to remove oil from the bowels of the earth.
The tool used by miners is a steel rope that is connected to a used truck engine and the tip is like a large needle that can pump the oil.
Another beauty that we can see is the moment of sunrise and sunset.
