Near where I live there is a Teka tree. It can be between 80 to 100 years old. Right where I live, it used to be an area full of vegetation, there were several of these trees of all kinds, and more Teka trees, which by the way is precious wood. Nowadays, it is the last tree that remains around. I have used Google Maps to view the aerial images and try to find similar ones. But no, there are no more.
There are only housing developments, and paved streets. That makes me aware that we have to plant more trees, create green areas of shade in the places where we live, trying to improve the microclimate of our own street where we live.
I invite you to take the initiative to plant trees of any kind in front of your house, in your yard or in any area near your home, see and compare using google maps, as it was 5 years ago the vegetation and you will notice a big change , but the most important thing is our change of thought before the nearest vegetation. Thank you.
