Teej Festival In Rajasthan

  • India is a country of festival, you can’t imagine India without our beautiful festivals. Teej is the most celebrated festival in Rajasthan, in this festival you will see folks coming out of their homes to the on the city’s hectic road to show people our traditions and pride in it. when and why teej celebrated- Teej is a common name for festival that is being celebrated to welcome mansoon season, the festival bring enthusiasm in local people lives, folk song,dancing, fasting and prayers by woman for their husband and families long life. It is celebrated in shavan and bhadrapada month according to Hindu rituals. This teej festival is typically celebrated with kite flying, folk song in nights, traditional cooking, gifts and local fair, woman’s wear bright colored traditional attire and presented with gifts, sweet and mehendi by their parents and in laws. Especially in Capital of Rajasthan ‘Jaipur’ which is known as pink city where womans assembled at one place then move around city all the day from Tripolia gate to city palace with local dancers and animals. @Rosesingh From the title I thought it was “Tea” festival. But while reading the description inside I found my mistake- it is a Teej festival. Very nice description and you have used very colorful bright photos which are really amazing. Thanks for sharing this nice festival with us. I hope one I will visit Rajasthan, India. Thanks.
