Our love affair with chai and coffee is timeless. For many of us, a humble glass of tea from a local vendor isn’t just a beverage – it’s a moment, a memory, and sometimes even a mini celebration.
During a recent walk through my neighbourhood, I (along with my wife) took a small but satisfying break at a local tea stall. Served piping hot in a classic glass tumbler, the tea carried the perfect balance of strength, sweetness, and spice – the very essence of cutting chai we all cherish.
What makes these tea breaks truly special isn’t just the flavour and taste. It’s the enjoyable chats, the stories that unfold, and the simple joy of sipping slowly while watching the life around. These local tea stalls, often found near the corners of busy streets, are informal community hubs — places where conversations brew as richly as the tea itself.
As part of the “Chai Pe Charcha” Challenge by our @TusharSuradkar, sustainability discussions by @K.K.Sharma & @Kumaarsantosh (the tea stall uses wooden stirrer and reusable glasses), I’m happy to share a glimpse of our tea-time experience with these two photos from a trusted local vendor. This post also supports the ‘Dil Se Local’ efforts by @AjitThite and LGBTQ+ mission driven by @Rahul001.
Thank you @TravellerG for sharing this amazing post with us usually I also prefed to drink tea in Kullad, Glass cup, sometimes disposable cup,but I can say taste in all things were different. Here is photo when I asked owner to capture in my phone.

We may get such opportunity someday somewhere @TravellerG. We had a memorable time spent together while you were in Delhi and that’s the philosophy behind sharing time with each other over a cup of tea. So no sorry please!
Of course love for Tea is never ending and Chai pe Charcha continues @TravellerG . The twa time is our time, for ourselves to refresh and rejuvenate. Your post is well conceived and is very interesting. Thanks for taking and combining challenges.
