These are ruins of Nalanda University…which is in Nalanda, Bihar.Made by emperor Ashoka and devastated by Bakhtiyar Khilji.

Hi Nisha ,Your all information about Nalanda university is right .My intention is only world must know about Vishwa Guru Bharat or India Takshila is now in pakistan & Nalanda in bihar both having golden period during Maurya period @virtualguru

I agree.Our India had three ancient universities… Nalanda,(Bihar),Vikramshila (Bhagalpur) and Taxila(now in Pakistan).
