Tate Modern - Tunga

When I visit London I spend at least one day in The Tate Modern.

I love to create photograph of great piece of art, sometimes I feel I can add something more.

This was one of these cases.

The Brazilian artist Tunga works with ropes, lead, and many materials to create this installation. You can read more here: https://www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-modern/display/materials-and-objects/tunga

Spent half an hour to find the desired framing and exposure and another half postprocessing, I hope you like it.

This is on Google Maps obviously, and many other will follow; that’s what I mean for a good quality contribute.

Hey @LucioV ,

I have visited Tate Modern couple of years ago, but I have to confess that I was more impressed by the structure of the museum and the location than from the museum itself.

Thank you for bringing to our attention this Brazilian artist. Have you ever heard about him @FelipePK ?

Yes @Sorbe the whole museum is a masterpiece itself, and some parts, like the turbine hall act like art (will show you later).

I’m in love with this place

Hi @Sorbe ,

I’ve heard about him but I’m not really familiar with his work. I know that he was the first Brazilian to have an art exposed in Louvre Museum. He also passed away in 2016 unfortunately. But I’m amazed to see now his work, thanks so much for sharing with us @LucioV .

You are welcome @FelipePK ! Didn’t know the artist passed away :frowning:

Hi @LucioV ,

Oh yeah, unfortunately it’s a pity but on the other hand it’s amazing that his arts have still been exposed in Museums around the world. =)

Yes @FelipePK that’s the fate of most artists

I really love the cinematographic aspect of this room, really give a great mood to the art.
