Tate Modern - London's free hidden gem for all

Not usually making the top things to do when traveling in historic and beautiful London, UK, Tate Modern, an inclusive modern art museum, performance space, store and bar, offers a unique respite for art lovers, families, students, and all people alike. First off, being “free” museum (you should def donate some spare £ if you are able), experiencing modern art has never been more accessible. The staff are knowledge, friendly, and engaging - becominb Local Guides to the museum itself to travelers, people new to art, and art scholars altogether.

Tate is also open later than many of London’s traditional sightseeing haunts. Giovannie & I spent about an hour immersed in the artwork before retreating to the relaxed but classy atmosphere of the bar on the ground floor. The DJ spun upbeat jazz beats as we gabbed and sipped British craft brews and planned the rest of our travels. The bookstore is extensive and accessible as well, and with materials from all spectrums from beginners to masters, architects to chefs, you can rest assured that you will find something that interests you.

Have you been to Tate Modern for an event or to wander the halls of this unique museum? What was your experience?

Cheers,

Zach
