They look very nice @ravikiran_bangalor , like a little puff pastry. They remind me a lot about a similar thing we have in Denmark called “æbleskiver” which are also made in a big moulded iron cast.
However we only eat them around Christmas time and enjoy them with powdered sugar and jam.
Is this something you can buy almost anywhere in South India?
@MortenSI Hi,Thank you for mentioning. Paddu is usually eaten with spicy fried groundnut chutney. It is available in select hotels in the southern states of Karnataka and tamilnadu in India. It is a popular breakfast and evening snack in households as well.
I could easily see this being served as a street food snack @ravikiran_bangalor , but I get the feeling I won’t find them with the street vendors.
I hope I get to try them one day.
