“IRISH HILL” highway Restaurant in Kumilla on Dhaka-Chittagong highway. My bus was stop there for half an hour to give time to the passengers for taking meal and fresh up. During the time I have selected from their menu list and ordered for “fried rice with chicken” for an amount of BDT 180/00. Really I like it. It was excellent tasty.

Fried rice with chicken and salad:- A tasty food served in almost all the restaurants in Bangladesh. Ingredients used are:- Rice, Dal, Chicken, Inion, Green chili, Termaric, Garlic, oil, some spices, Tomatoo, Salt and Water as required. All the ingredients are fried with oil and then boiled in the water.

@Sorbe this food common and popular in Bangladesh, for quick finished lunch or dinner sometime take this. All people love to take this in morning.

Thank you for providing this information. I was curious about this because in my country food is not always good on the highway. Which is your favorite dish when you stop in one of those restaurants?

@Sorbe , Thank you for your question, yes it is first time I have tried this food in ‘this place ( in this restaurant)’, on the way of my journey from Dhaka to Chittagong on 17 Dec 2017. @MahabubMunna , thanks a lot for your comment also.

hahah , yes! highway all restaurant are not good but few are good . it’s actually depend on which travels company bus you travel , better competency service also better . long time travel i eat not too much , maximum eat light food and avoid milk or pure juice . because it’s some time pressure me to go toilet :wink: @Sorbe

@MahabubMunna , @Sorbe , That’s correct what Mahbub bhai said, It is better to take less food during journey but I cant When I become hungry I need enough food. However, It varies man to man. It also depend upon the bus by which we travel and to which restaurant they are taking a break.
