I live in Berlin, Germany. Like so many here, I moved to this city, but call it home by now. Berlin natives will tell you, that you have to spend at least half of your life here, to call yourself a “Berliner” and it is a melting pot of diversity. No neighborhood, no district, no street stays the same for more than a week. Berlin is always changing.
And I go hunting. Its like a quest and as a reward you find the new Cambodian restaurant which will take you back to Angkor Wat, the Pastelaria, a little Portuguese bakery with Pastel de Natas which taste like a tiny bite of Lisbon in the morning, or the Angry Chicken Fast Food Spot, where you can enjoy Korean Streetfood just like in Myeongdong.
Berlin, how I love you for your unapologetic style. People in the bus wearing pajamas, in the supermarket wearing leather and lace and the occasional “no pants day” people on the subway.
As a local guide you get to explore. I take pictures of everything I see and enjoy checking the view counts on my contributions. Knowing that maybe some of these images help others to discover these unique experiences for themselves. Amazed to be one of the Top 1% LGs in Berlin in 2019, which I never thought possible.
I hope you enjoy my list of 55 places to go for your own tasty scavenger hunt in this capital of international appeal: Berlin Diversity Scavenger Hunt
