Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyar Koyil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temples and an exemplary example of a fully realized Dravidian architecture. It is called as Dhakshina.Peruvudaiyaar Kovil is an example of Hindu architecture from South India from the Chola period. It was built by Raja (Tirupur) and emperor Pallav and completed in 1010 AD.
