What I mean by the lowest point on earth, I mean the Dead Sea in Jordan. I’ve been to the Dead Sea several times during my travels of Jordan. Jordan is a beautiful country and the people so gracious.
The Royal Aero Sports Club of Jordan moved to this new location from Wadi Rum. When they moved, my wife and I had to do a skydive here. The first weekend we came to skydive, there was a mechanical problem with the plane, so we had to come back the following weekend.
It was a little cloudy but fun all the same. The drop zone was just a little north of the Dead Sea, and as you see on the map, quite close to the Jordan/Israel border.
If you ever get the chance to go to Dead Sea, give the skydive a go.
Wow, you another amazing adventure! Thanks for sharing your experience and your awesome photos! When I read your posts, skydiving becomes more and more tempting to try.
This new location is also really interesting. I have always been fascinated by the Dead sea. I heard that there is so much salt in the water that you can lie on the surface without sinking into the sea, is it right?
Yes that is correct @RadieN . You can lie on the top of water. If you push yourself down, you spring back up. Just make sure you don’t put head under water otherwise you will be in pain from salt getting in your eyes.
Cover yourself in mud first which is part of the fun.
