Tamhini Ghat in Maharashtra is a mountain pass situated between Mulshi & tamhini. Tamhin Ghat seems to me to be the heaven of Maharashtra The Tamhini hill station is one of the most popular hill stations in Maharashtra. I like this place very much It is situated between Raigad & Pune district .whole ghat section near about 25 kms.There are a number of places to see here and thus it is an ideal weekend getaway for the city dwellers. The surrounding is very beautiful comprising of lakes, dense forests and many waterfalls. More than 20 small waterfalls is in Tamhini ghat .one of temple is also famous in Tamhini . Andarban forest is situated in tamhini ghat section also.
This place becomes more beautiful during the monsoons when the surrounding is covered with lush green grasses…
It is only 40 kms from Pune. I will suggest you that you can go for Bike road trip. Because bike riding in Tamhini Ghat is the one of the beautiful thing.
