Tallahassean’s are very special people. There are not very many towns in the world where this might happen. I moved here in mid-July of 2011 from Atlanta with my three feral cats. It was a mama cat and her two female offspring. They have always gone outside during the day. So I slowly acclimated them to their new environment after about a month. Everything was fine until October came and my mother cat vanished one day. I searched high and low. Put up signs in a one mile radius. Went to the pound every three days, got an animal tracker to help me from St Francis Wildlife, we used night vision to search. Talked to an animal behaviorist. But then the phone started to ring. People were calling from the signs I had put up. They were telling me about their cat stories. They were giving me hope, wishing me luck, telling me they were praying for me and my kitty, they were neighbors telling me they were on the look-out for her. These kind small town, gentle, wonderful Tallahassean’s were there for me and my kitty in our time of need. After three months I had lost all hope. I still went to the pound every three days, I still made my rounds searching, I still looked every time I saw a dart of light. But it was never her. But then just before Christmas my phone rang and it was my neighbor. She said my cat was on her car to come quick. I filled my pockets with cat food and ran. But she was gone. So after calling for an hour. I dribbled the food all the way back to my front door. In a little while I heard
meow, meow, MEOW, MEOW, MEOW!!! It was my mama cat come home! The best Christmas present ever! All I can say is Thank you to all the Tallahassean’s who watched out for her, perhaps fed her and gave me hope during that three months that she was gone. Tallahassee is a special town.Hello @Artnick
Nice story with happy end!
It is great that in your town there are a lot of kind people.
I wish you never lost your pets!
Your cat is so cute.
Let our cats be always with us!
I have four cats and I love them very much.
Best wishes,
Inga
I’m glad your cat came home and that your community was so supportive. A nice story @Artnick
I live in an area where our cats must stay inside due to local wildlife. We built them a large cage so they could go out through a cat flap into the cage and still experience outside without getting lost or in trouble. Best thing we ever did because its awful when you don’t know where they are.

Hello @PaulPavlinovich
I think it is the best way to save the pets in safety. It is good expierence for those people who live in the countryside.
It is a great problem to find our pets ,when they lost. They suffer ,and we worry about them.
I saw the photos your cat in Instagram-lovely cat.
Best wishes,
Inga
