As a local guide I am able to take a photo and get notified that I took my pictures at a certain location. It delights me that I can upload my photos for those in far reaching parts of my life to find what I’ve looked at. Others can see where I’ve been and I can help them decide to got there.
For example we were having a second anniversary for my company when my parents took me to this restaurant Tulum. We had a wonderful meal and I was able to take a few photos. Google even helped me enhance this photo so that I could post it for more viewers. It was an excellent showing and many people got a chance to look at the photo.
Even getting people accustomed to my new area that I’m in I can attract attention to what is around me. Like this photo on the Miracle Mile of Firestone. People in the neighborhood know this place and others are extremely interested to know where they can get tires near them. So it was helpful for people who can’t see just down the street that there were options available to them. I was happy to point out this place on Google Maps and share a friendly reminder that this place serves the community.
One of the all time favorite things to share is food. Everybody likes food and people want to see what you have ordered so they can go themselves to try. It was a pleasure going out with my parents to Mariscos Rio Bravo Dallas and having the marisco avocado along with the tacos my parents ordered and some guerra cerdo for myself. I thought the place was nice but it was especially nice to be able to share on Google Maps something I thought I had discovered.
Changing locations I had to become familiar with my new surroundings and I felt if I could help people out around me that would be good too. So I posted this photo of NorthPark Center to let people know that they had a place near them and my new location for work that they could go to for shopping. Some people can’t see around the corner or out of their car so it is good that they can see from the photos that there are good establishments right next to them for them to go to. I was able to get over my fear of pulling out my camera in locations that otherwise wouldn’t allow cameras.
NorthPark CenterUPSThe last two photos are also of food. The first is when Google Maps pinged me that I was a match to Khao Noodle Shop. I had to go for myself to find out if I liked it and if it really was a good fit. So, my wife and I went together with our friend Kelly just as it had opened to see if this really was going to be the next big hot spot. It turns out so many people liked this photo that the place was a hit.
The final picture my wife, Jeimmy actually took with my camera in Villa de Leyva, Boyacá in Colombia. We were there on a vacation having a romantic evening seemingly having the entire restaurant and town to ourselves because most of the attractions were closed due to religious holidays. The year of the school calendar had also kept most people away during this time. But because we were hungry and had found a delicious place to eat we decided to take a photo of the hamburger at Restaurante Casa San Pedro. It was the best burger in Villa de Leyva and we wanted to remember it to come back. The popularity of this photo also led me to believe that many other people want to go there to try to food as well. It was a pleasure posting this photo and having some real brilliance shown for the photography work.
