My favorite thing to do as a Local guide is to publish 360 photos into street view and google maps. I recently started doing this because I actually wanted an action camera as my graduation present but while looking for one to buy I came up with this 360 cameras that could do that and more so I ended up getting one, which I don’t regret at all.
Ever since, I started to take 360 photos and videos every weekend in my city and saw the possibility to add them on google maps and street view from my google photos and since I studied tourism and I recently graduated I thought it would be a good idea to help bust up the tourism in my city. So, I started to add them into the google listings of museums, parks and different historical places in here.
By doing this in no time I reached local guide level 5, but not only that, my views on the photos I published started to grow drastically. I never thought this could reach such a big number of people. Know that there are more local guides with more views on their photos than mines, but all of them have been doing this for longer time and with better cameras en equipment. But all the people that are actually seeing them are having a view of what they are expecting to see when they actually visit my city, or if you cannot afford to travel get to know it in a more immersive way and creative way.
Now I learned all of this, I want to start making virtual tours and adding new street on maps and help people know my city better and keep them up to date with newer photos and newer street views. And being the person that is contributing to that change its what makes me love to do this as a local guide. That’s why this is my favorite thing to do as a local guide and every time I see the views on my photos grows, it inspires me to think where else should I take a new one and show to the world how marvelous my city is and inspired them to visit it whenever they travel to Mexico
