Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurdwara, birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh

When you search for some beautiful places to visit in Patna, you cannot skip the famous Gurudwara Patna Sahib. This place is full of divine aura and beautiful architecture will let you to a different mood amid the chaos of the city.

The first Maharaja of the Sikh Empire, Maharaja Ranjit Singh built one of the holiest of the five “Takths” or seat of authority of the Sikhs in 1666 to commemorate the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, born in Patna, Bihar, on 22 December 1666.

Apart from its religious importance, this place is one of the famous Photowalk locations for photographers from all over the world. You can get a lot of different subjects to shoot from landscape to intense portrait shots.

As a photographer, I have attended the 500px Global Photowalk in September 2014 which was my first Photowalk at Gurudwara Patna Sahib.

PM of India Shri Narendra Modi during his Incredible India Campaign shared the above image shot by me on twitter.

I have visited this place 2-3 times and tried to capture the beauty of this Shrine and its culture.

The Sikh community living in the nearby areas will remind you of the Punjabi Culture and their lifestyle gives you enough subject to capture.

You will be amazed to see the beauty of the dome during the sunset.

Do make your visit to this place when you come to Patna.
