People may find overhangs storefront on Taiwanese street, some people think it’s messy but some will feel curious about this situation. As a Taiwanese I think it very convenient in Taiwan and I love it.

The overhangs storefront history is from Qing dynasty but now its a kind of Taiwanese building culture. In Qing dynasty, the policy asked people to build a public side walk in front of buildings what is called overhang storefront now.

Taiwan lies on the Tropic of cancer, and its general climate is marine tropical, so overhangs storefront provide passenger a shelter no matter summer or raining days. Sometimes you’ll find street vendors under the overhangs storefront.

If you visit Taiwan and walk under the overhangs storefront, please take time to experience the convenient shelter and find some different designs. ?

I think the most special thing you have to try is taking easy in here because Taiwanese people are very passion and like to help people. Some people feel uncomfortable as people don’t always assisting in western countries.

And you must to try fruits and food in Taiwan, everything is fantastic. :slight_smile:
