元宵節在亞洲地區屬於滿重要的節日，是在華人農曆(Lunar calendar)的1月15日
起源於中國，目前在華人地區、日本、韓國、越南等地也很重視這節日
而在台灣，則是特別重視這活動的國家
除了燈會(Lantern meeting)外，各地也有各自的活動
例如平溪天燈(The Pingxi Sky Lantern)、鹽水蜂炮(Beehive fireworks in Yanshui town)台東寒單(Taitung HAN DAN)
台東寒單(Taitung HAN DAN) I have introduced it before.
而在台東市除了炮炸寒單外，還有各寺廟的遶境活動
店家會在寺廟外擺設香案，恭迎神明，祈求接下來的一年能夠更平安、順利、賺大錢
這是炮炸虎爺，使用鞭炮炸載著虎爺的轎子

八家將(Pat-ka-chiòng)、官將首 These are no English proper nouns, like the messengers of God.:
他們會在店家門口表演、祈福，店家為了表示感謝會送上紅包
They will perform and pray at the door of the store, and the merchant will send a red envelope to express their gratitude.
即將接受鞭炮的洗禮，工作人員在沒有衣物的地方灑上水，避免鞭炮直接灼傷
