Table Mountain is by far my best place to Visit not only is it one of the 7 Natural wonders of the world but it is also a world heritage site. The people of Cape Town somehow has a spiritual connection with the mountain. It is about 1066m (3500ft) high and consist of Malmesbury Shale, Granite Rock and Sandstone. It is rumored to be between 240 and 600 million years old. From the top you have a fantastic view of Robben Island, the city centre and the Atlantic Seaboard. On a clear day you can see both oceans The Atlantic and False Bay almost as far as Cape Point about 70 klm away . There are one of two ways of getting to the top. You can get to the top via the modern cable car with it’s rotating floor and carries a maximum of 65 passengers or you can hike to the top via one of it’s many routes. However, it is not always possible to go to the top of table mountain because of increment weather and high winds. On the top you will find a small animal that looks like an overfed rabbit but, it’s closest relative is the Elephant.
