Many flights depart from T4 terminal Chennai of late. Once upon a time it was known as International aiproit which after renovation opened as an International and domestic airport. This terminal is seen at the end of Chennai airport. From entry point, crossing Aerohub mall the road leads to a spacious, huge ramp taking you to the departure point. Turning right, at the end of the ramp first left is T4 Chennai Airport.

My flight to Mumbai was scheduled from this terminal. Flight was at 6.35am. I reached the airport at 4.30am. In 20minutes time with boarding pass, pointing towards the gate in the same floor I started my exploration.
From security check in point, I took a right then a left again a right, which lead me to Gate 16, the end point of beginning point of the long corridor in the airport.
I started from the end point. There is a huge board with nature painting, where Airport Authority of India tag welcomes you. Falls, surrounded by ranges, a small river with lush greenery around is the painting about. No doubt, there is a spot like this in India, which gave me the prompt to find out, explore and click the image. So travellers near Gate 16, yards away is this board painting.
Now I started to walk ahead on a straight line, when on my right again at the rear end of Gate 16, there is a beautiful piece of two birds flying. Appearing golden mixed brown in color, I touched the wings and for seconds the wing flapped. This piece stands pointing towards the open ground where aircraft stands. Fixed on a strong foundation ground standing at the end of first floor airport, don’t miss viewing two birds whom I named as -Sonu Monu.
From here walking straight in between Gate 17 and 18 is a ship format painting. Painted dark blue in color background, two couples dressed in South Indian attire point to lovely countries they want to travel to. Those places are embedded on a round circumference. I spotted Dubai tower, London bridge, Istanbul snd I think there is a spot from Thailand. Night the whole painting is illuminated, for there are golden bulbs places all around the painting which illuminates.
Going ahead you would find another huge painting laid opposite to Gate 18 and Gate 19. This paining is so huge that it covers the whole way. Painted in yellow, brown background I spotted Leaning Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower, New York statue, Dubai tower, Sri Buddha statue, 2 penguins and a man taming his bull. Rest spots I am unable to identify.
This painting indicates the end of the corridor from where Chennai food court starts. Though T1 snd T4 have same layout appearance. T4 has these lovely paintings displayed which should not be missed seeing in T4 Chennai airport. By the time I finished exploring the paintings, boarding announcement started. Bidding goodbye and “See you later” to the paintings I proceeded.
