Hey !
Anyone going to Sziget Festival (10th - 17th August) in Budapest?
If so, let’s meet for a beer or two.
It will be my first time at Sziget (and in Budapest). Any advices/suggestions?

Hi
Do not expect parking place, but expect long lines (so some patience is beneficial)
And you definitely do not need a guide there 
If you want to see the city just take HÉV (a city train, the green one) to Batthiány square, look around and go…
If you want to see one of the most attractive small city take HÉV to Szentendre, and walk around there.
Thats should be more than enough if you came to Sziget.
Sometimes drink water as well

It was an awesome festival, I definitely recommend to try it at least once for the experience.
But indeed, I’ve never seen that much queuing in a festival. Pretty much everything is totally inefficient. Even the draft beers take ages to get poured ;).
The city looks nice as well but we only had one day to visit so I need to come back ;).

I’ve always wanted to go to Budapest - did you take any pictures?
I’ve got a few from the Sziget festival itself but nothing from Budapest ;).
