Swimming Pools in Jakarta - Mom as A Local Guide Series

I guess, you have already know that I love travelling and exploring, and this Local Guide Programs, give me a various itenaries. It is not just exploring Tourist Attractions. While I wait my son finish his school that day, I have the chance to do exercise.

That’s fun! I explore Jakarta, in other ways.

I love to swim. So I decide to explore Swimming Pool in my hometown, Jakarta. Exploring Swimming Pools during my spare time, give me a purpose.

Jakarta has a lot of swimming pools, I divide in 3 categories:

  • Government Sport Centers,
  • Private Sport Centers
  • Water Parks.

I prefer swimming in adult pool, approximate 1.7 M - 3 M depth. Because I swim for exercise, not just playing water. I reviewed the combination of Government Sports Centers, and Private Sport Centers. I have not reviewed Water Parks, maybe later.

You can see in my list, Swimming Pools that I have already visited.

List of Swimming Pools in Jakarta

Besides taking still photos, I took videos and 360 photos. These are originally taken by me, only using my Android, Samsung Note 8. In my list, There are 17 places, but in here I just show a few.

Through my younger years until now, I swam only in Private Sport Centers, I never try to swim in Government SC. So I review Swimming Pool in Government Sport Centers. The middle class deserves to know, that They could swimming in these government facilities in affordable way.

Yet, Some in good conditions, and others need improvement.

I will keep exploring Jakarta in other ways. Keep Updated Guys,

mom as a local guide signed off.

Cheers,

Devi

Thanks for sharing @Ddimitra - Reading this post reminded me of my own story. I spent a good part of my childhood in a swimming pool in Jakarta. It used to be called Kelapa Gading Sports Club, but it’s currently known as Klub Kelapa Gading.

The slides in the image is the same slides I used to ride when I was a kid. Can’t believe they survived until now
