November 2011 I did a a camping trip with a group of friends in Oman. Here is just one of the locations we stopped off at. The Bimmah Sinkhole is a tourist location 125 kms down the coast from Muscat.
It is a water filled limestone depression. It is in a beautiful location and is nice to drive to from Muscat. It is fun to swim in and jump into.
The place looks simply amazing, thank you for sharing it with us. While watching the photo I feel like looking at a brochure from a travel guide, so beautiful!
I guess there are some places to have a coffee or a meal, right?
Hi @BorrisS there isn’t any food places close by although there are in a nearby town. One thing nice about travelling in areas like this is the remoteness and not being spoilt of development.
Se ve como un lugar muy divertido para pasar la tarde @TheEagleEye , el agua del sitio es subterránea o viene del mar, tiene más cavernas? Es ideal para explorar.
It is fresh water @FaridTDF . Yes there are some underwater caverns but quite difficult to access. It is very deep. The authorities don’t encourage scuba diving.
