In Roseburg, Oregon, there is River Forks Park where the North and South Umpqua rivers converge. It’s a nice park with lovely amenities, playgrounds and a splash pad. I visited with my family many times as a child, and it was great to revisit recently. “Swim at your own risk”, as the signs say.
Hi @antiparticle ,
very welcome on Connect and thank you for sharing your “fun” experience with the River Forks Park.
Since this is the official Local Guides forum it would be much more interesting if you tell us what we can find in the park, about the amenities and activities you describe. Do you live nearby and you visit often the park or you were on a travelling? What did you do there? What kind of activities we can find, are they open, what’s the best activity you think you can find? And you might want to share also some more photos of the park to show other Local Guides how it looks like.
Since you are new here on Connect you can start from Your guide to Connect to make yourself comfortable and understand how to best use Connect. A good reference to start writing great contents is also How do I write a post on Connect and How do I follow the original content guidelines on Connect. If you need any help you can always refer to our Help Desk.
Finally if you want you could also introduce yourself to the community and the other Local Guides by writing something about you here: Introduce Yourself July 2021.
Hi @antiparticle ,
A warm welcome to our Connect family from me, too!
Here on Connect, we have several topic boards where you can share your Local Guides stories about travel, photography, and more. Since you’re telling us about this great park you visited in Roseburg, Oregon, your post will fit best in our Travel board, so I’ll move it there. Be sure to check out what other Local Guides have shared there, too!
P.S. Do you like your digital Connect’s 5th Birthday badge that you can see on your Connect profile? Let us know what you think about it here.
