Swallow nest Island

Swallow nest Island population is formed by geological tectonic activity along Phu Yen coastal area, the most significant of which is volcanic eruptions at about ten million years ago.

When the volcanic eruptions due to the volcanic activity encountered sea water formed a variety of rocks are stretched from the shore to the edge of the water.

Called Swallow nest Island because of the old days there are many swallow nest, but today is no longer but the locals still retain the rustic name, the old love this. The name has evoked a lot of curiosity from many visitors came here to discover its beauty.

Swallow nest Island is located in An Hoa commune, Tuy An district of Phu Yen province, from center of Tuy Hoa to about 15km. This unique beauty lies in the midst of the romantic blue sea. The beach here is pristine, scattered here the trees, casuarina trees, clusters of cactus grow and grow up with the sun and wind.

According to legend, this place was a faraway island, over time sandy land gradually invaded the sea, so today the island looks like only about a few dozen meters, when the tide is down, we can walk there. The big island looks like a rocky pyramid with a diameter of about 200m, nearly 100m high, facing the four sides by steep slopes hard to climb on. Once upon a time, this was the place where the swallow came to nest…

Nearby is a small rocky mountain but looks very charming. At the foot of the rocky mountains are the waves deep into the cliffs leaving marks on the cliffs, over the curved paths that curl up on on the rocks of nature that have been ever since.

The easiest way to get here is by taxi from Tuy Hoa (15km to the north). Because there is no inn here, it is difficult to stay overnight. This area is only recently known and growing (I came here a year ago) so there is not much convenience for visitors. However, the people here are very peaceful and friendly, they are willing to help anything when you need.
