''Swadhinata sangram'' Sculpture .

It’s situated at

Salimullah Hall on Dhaka University Fuller Road, Jagannath Hall and the road island adjacent to BUET .It is made in the shape of the faces of eighteen martyrs killed in different movements.

✪Sculptor Shamim Sikder started building a huge sculpture called ‘Amar Ekushey’ in 1986 in an abandoned place in front of an old-fashioned bungalow style house on Fuller Road. It was inaugurated by the late Professor Ahmed Sharif in a domestic setting in February 1990.
There are over a hundred more sculptures here. When the construction of the new building of Udayan School started at that place in 1997, the sculpture needed to be shifted. The sculpture was brought to the road island. Later, sculptor Shamim Sikder changed and enlarged the sculpture under the name ‘Swadhinata Sangram’ and constructed it in a new light in the light of the history of the Liberation War. At the same time, he built the road island as he wished. It was inaugurated on March 8, 1999 by the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina :bangladesh:
