Hindu Temples are not mere places of worship.
They are a complete ecosystem. Nearby shopkeepers, dispensaries, medicine shops, schools, banks, grocery shops, jewelers, and the list is endless.
To serve them all and keep the spirit of shopping abuzz are the many tea shops. ![]()
Hereās the Pashan Market around the Bhairavnath Temple.
We have been visiting these small tea shops for over a decade, and one of the owners wonāt bother to even name his shop.
Eventually, last week, he put up a board āGraduate Tea Shopā and I immediately added it to Google Maps.
By the time I finished sipping 2 cups of tea, the edit was approved, photos uploaded, opening and closing timings declared, and the once anonymous but popular tea shop went digital - to borrow a fabulous phrase from @Shubham.Singh ![]()
The ambience of the tea shop was open-roof since it was previously hosted under a Peepal Tree, and people would sip their tea on a small katta under the tree.
The follow-up email from Google Maps was a delight.
On my next visit, I plan to assist the small business owner in claiming their business on Google Maps and add more features, as well as tweak the settings for this location.
