I would like to organize a meetup in my city. What support could I receive from Google team for same, if any.

LG Team has a public Event Calendar, which you can post your meet-up via this link: https://maps.google.com/localguides/event/host-a-meet-up

There are also check-lists that will help you plan for your meet-up also.
